Falcons Struggle in 6A District
The North Forney Falcons dropped their third district game in a row to the Mesquite Skeeters, 49 to 28, last Friday night. North Forney came to the matchup with a 3-4 record. Mesquite, the host of the night, had three losses as their most recent three games.
Pirates Edge out Tigers in Thriller 36-29
Crandall was on the road last week playing a very fast and run-heavy Terrell Tigers team. It was homecoming night for the Tigers, and a lot was riding on this district matchup. Whoever won this game would separate themselves from the rest of the pack with two district games remaining.
Falcons Fall Hard To Rockwall 63 to 14
It was a tough loss Friday night as the Falcons faced off with 18th ranked Rockwall. The outcome was not as hoped, as the Falcons turned the ball over 3 times and had several untimely penalties that just can’t happen when you play high quality teams.
Forney Falls to #8 Lancaster
The Forney Jackrabbits made the quick trip to Lancaster for their seventh game of the year against the #8 Ranked Lancaster Tigers last Friday night. Lancaster entered the game after hammering John Tyler the previous week, 55-6. The Jackrabbits entered the game coming off their first district loss against undefeated Longview. The Jackrabbits sought to get back on the right side of the win column while Lancaster was attempting to further cement their position as #2 in the district.
Crandall Loses Tough One to Lovejoy 49-35
Coach Hardin’s Pirates came into this game sitting at third place in district with a record of 2-1. This was a highly contested matchup that did not disappoint! Crandall had not forgotten the rough first round defeat in the playoffs last year at the hands of the Leopards.
