I saw a story on Yahoo! several weeks ago that drew my interest, because it brought what I consider good news concerning an issue that has bothered me for many years. Actor Leive Schreiber took his 8- ad 9-year-old sons with him to Comic Con this year. Like Star Wars or Star Trek conventions,
Comic Con is one of those venues where it’s a custom to cosplay—to dress up like your favorite character. Schreiber’s 9-year-old wanted to go to Comic Con as Harley Quinn.
The boy got his wish, and all but one of the comments posted with the story on Yahoo! was positive. The one negative comment concerned the costume—not the gender of the character. Most of the comments commended Mr. Schreiber for being an “awesome dad”.
