The Themers try a little extra ARTS CULTURE!
On Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 7:30 p. m., Don and Vivian Themer were seated closely to the Conductor and waiting in excited anticipation for “the music to begin!”
About 3 hours earlier, we had begun our trip to downtown Dallas to the home of the Dallas Symphony in the Myerson Symphony Center to hear the “DSO Christmas Pops.”
The traffic was brisk, and a two-lane accident closure twice did not help us meet our 5:30 reservation for an on-site luxury buffet dinner at “The Opus.”
We finally arrived, parked in the Hall Arts Center Garage, and quickly walked to the main building, worried about our dinner reservation.
However, although we were somewhat late, the hostess had held our table and soon seated us, brought our drinks, and invited us to join the other guests (some of them late-arriving, too) at the stations.
After sampling many savory dishes and then more than one desert, we made our ways to the 6th row of the “orchestra left” area and admired all the decorations, musicians “tuning up,” and happy patrons around us.
