There isn’t a better time than now to start getting fit with health information and products so easily accessible. Simply incorporate the basics into your daily routine – good nutrition, adequate exercise and a daily supplement – and start down the path toward better health.

COVID-19 continues to disrupt businesses all over the world. Supply chain interruptions and a generalized slow down of transport and shipping have become the norm since COVID has wreaked havoc on the globe.
After months of business closures to various degrees due to the COVID-19 crisis, as well as a few steps back as Texas attempted to resume its usual activities, the state is now largely reopened. This decision is excellent for the economic health of our state, but what does it mean for the physical health of the state? That is a question plaguing the minds of many residents and lawmakers alike. Simply stated: is the benefit worth the risk?
I have never been a great fan of shopping at North- Park Center (Mall), but I always managed somehow to find myself there six or eight times per year, especially after I married Vivian, who always liked going there to shop and browse and eat. And, for the most part, our children enjoyed going there, especially after they became old enough to venture (not too far) away from Mom and Dad and explore their own interests and at their own paces!
Spending time in and around water is a favorite pastime for adults and children. Swimming, boating, running through sprinklers, and soaking in a nice warm tub can be great ways to relax and have fun.

I received the above text not too long ago after the tornadoes had hit “southeastern” Texas near Lake Livingston. Randy and Cathy Stewart were leaving the next morning to join a large group of “Texas Baptist Men” volunteers to help clean up, repair, and give encouragement to the folks in the paths of the tornadoes, and many of them had “total” losses!
Two things have remained constant through the COVID – 19 pandemic. Students are being taught virtually by their teachers, and cafeteria workers are preparing food for students each day.
The ODYSSEY BEGINS!
After a diligent interview process, the City of Forney is excited to announce the hiring of Derek Briggs as the next Fire Chief. Briggs will be leaving his position as EMS Division Chief for the Abilene Fire Department and is expected to join the Forney Fire Department on June 1, 2020.
The Forney High School and North Forney High School theatre departments were recently recognized by the Dallas Summer Musical (DSM) organization with their 9th Annual High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA). The non-profit organization recognized Forney High School theatre for their production of Seussical and North Forney High School for their production of Sweeny Todd. Both plays were presented during the 2019-2020 school year.
Thanks to the dedication of CISD’s Student Nutrition group, families can rest assured their students will be fed throughout the district’s COVID-19 closure. The district started a curbside meal pick-up program March 23rd to serve its students breakfast and lunch.
