City Council reaffirms Markout agreement termination Monday night
In a special meeting held Monday evening, the City Council took a 4-1 vote to reaffirm its decision to terminate the City of Forney’s service and maintenance agreement with Markout Water Supply Corporation. The Council had taken an initial vote to terminate the agreement during the City Council’s regular meeting June 20.
The June 26 special meeting was called even though the matter of the agreement had been placed on the agenda of the Council’s first regular meeting, set for July 6. Mary Penn, acting in her capacity as Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of Mayor Rick Wilson, called the special meeting to order several minutes after 5:00 p. m.
