NTMWD and 13 Member Cities Agree to New Regional Water Contract

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NT- MWD) and the 13 Member Cities that partner in the regional water system have announced their agreement on an amended wholesale water services contract. On Thursday, Oct. 29, officials from the NTMWD member cities and water district gathered for a symbolic signing ceremony by the water treatment facilities at the district’s headquarters in Wylie as a show of unity and the beginning of a new era in their partnership.

While only unofficial election results have been released at the time of press, the outcomes are not expected to change with the canvassing of the final numbers. At the time of press, the results of the race for the office of the President of the United States are still too close to declare a victory.

Installing officers, initiating a new member, and presenting grants to new teachers was on the agenda for the Alpha Tau meeting on Tuesday, October 13th , at the Kaufman County Library. Since our March outing, due to the pandemic, Alpha Tau has met virtually, which put installation of officers and the initiation of our new member on hold. Finally, after 7 months, we met live and virtually, since some of our members are in the vulnerable category.

His local United States Air Force recruiters needed someone to fill an immediate void left by a recruit who reported to the Air Force already injured and unable to enlist, and in stepped young Michael Morgan. Following in the footsteps of his father who also served in the Air Force, Michael decided to put his college courses on hold and enlist immediately on December 31, 1968.
