Peggy Marie Newton, age 87 of Forney passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020. She was born June 22, 1933 in Forney, Texas to Fowler Oba Roberson and Faye Jones Roberson. She married Darrell Porter Newton on June 4, 1954.

Thomas Henderson grew up in Kaufman, Texas, with plans to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Shortly after he began paramedic school, Texas changed the minimum age requirement for EMTs to 20 years old, which left a gap in Thomas’s plan. Rather than sit idly by and wait for the next opportunity, Henderson took matters into his own hands, joining the U.S. Navy in July 2008.

Ronald Dean Boyd was born on June 27, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to James and LaVerne Boyd. He passed away suddenly on October 17, 2020, in Forney, Texas.

Mrs. Joyce Richter of Forney, TX, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2020. She was born on May 30, 1929, in Robstown, TX to the late Roy Anderson and Lillian Curtis Anderson.

Billy Joe Montgomery, age 87 passed away, Saturday, September 12, 2020.

Everett “Leon” Jones, of Forney, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born January 22, 1933 in Liberty Grove, Texas to the late Everett C. and Etta Lois Dove Jones. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Earnest Mc-Claughry, J.C. Jones, Troy Jones, Fayne Jones and Billy Gene Jones, sisters: Marie Lindsey, Inez Massey and Evelyn Costa.

Eric Oden Austin passed from this life into eternal life Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:54pm with his family surrounding him. Eric was born on March 18, 2005 in Longview, TX. Eric was raised in Tatum, TX with his twin brother Ethan Austin and his sisters Tami, Jamie and Lois Austin by their parents James and Kimberly Austin.

Brown, June Lilian, age 79, of Forney, Texas passed away on July 19, 2020. She was born on June 29, 1941 in Coventry, England. She married the love of her life of 30 years, James Brown on June 9, 1990. She was a faithful and active member of Mesquite Bible Church in Mesquite, Texas since 1997.

Jimmy Eugene Beavers, 77, of Kemp passed away July 5, 2020. He was born in Terrell, Texas on October 1, 1942 to Mildred Brockway Beavers Graham and Earl L. Beavers. He attended Terrell ISD until his senior year when his family moved to Dallas, and he graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1962. There Jimmy met his future wife and lifelong companion, Fay. They married June 22, 1963.

Sally (Evans) Mitchell, age 84, and lifetime resident of Forney, Texas, passed away on June 18, 2020. She was born July 14, 1935, in Dallas, Texas, to Buster McGlon and Easter (Neely) McGlon.

Wanell M. Thomas, age 86, of Coleman, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.

Susan Roberta Thomas was born January 17, 1945 in Racine, Wisconsin to Dorothy Mae Sanders and Carl Robert Harmel. Growing up, she was a passionate barrel racer and advocate for animals, often adopting and bathing stray pets. She graduated Troy High School in 1963 where she was voted Prom Queen by her classmates.

Graveside services for Wayne Rush, 64, of Forney were held 10:00 AM Monday, June 15, 2020, at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Rush was born December 19, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to the late Joel Elmer and Minnie Deloris (Lyon) Rush and passed away June 9, 2020 in Richardson.
