I’ve Got a New Gratitude
Hello November! We made it! We battled through the steamiest, sweatiest October of recent memory. The costumes have been boxed up. The candy is eaten. Ok, the kids think it’s been eaten but there’s that one sack of bite sized name brand chocolate in the top of your closet, mom. We see you. The bats and spider webs and fake tombstones are in Rubbermaid containers in the garage. Gone are the swimsuits from those post Labor Day summer swan song swims, replaced by sweaters and scarves and the hats we call toboggans while the New Yorker’s laugh at our ridiculousness in telling people we wear sleds on our noggins. The world smells like a spicy pumpkin now and society is split decisively into 2 camps. Is it time for Christmas music yet? Or, do we staunchly defend the decidedly most American holiday we have? Let’s talk Thanksgiving.
